(March , 2006, Waterloo, ON) The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is hosting the 8th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraising event. Choose your unique, handcrafted bowl contributed by members of the Waterloo Potters Workshop, and fill it with delicious gourmet soups generously donated by local restaurants. Then browse the Gallery and bid on one of a kind items offered in the silent auction. Best of all, proceeds will go to the Waterloo Food Bank.

Empty Bowls will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2006, from 4:30-6:30pm. Tickets are $35 each, and are available at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery starting April 1st, 2006. This event sells out quickly, so get your tickets soon!

Empty Bowls is an initiative designed to make money and feed the hungry. Todate Empty Bowls has raised $57,887. The bowl you take home is intended to serve as a reminder that hunger is an ongoing concern in our community and around the world.
