Giampietro Filippetti, who resided in Milan for over a decade, has studied the mosaics of Fruiuli, Ravenna, Rome and Venice. Filippetti moved to Canada in 2003 to create his studio, Filippetti, and he currently resides and works just outside of Toronto. He creates exquisite glass mosaic panels by pairing an ancient art with modern designs. He uses the barest elements of colour, light, shape, line and texture to produce unique and timeless pieces.
