| Truus Roest-Chapman
Truus Roest-Chapman, of Montreal Quebec has been working in ceramics, specifically Raku, since 1982. Truus, a native of Holland, came to Canada in 1969 and graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a bachelor of Fine Arts, with distinction. She is drawn to Raku because "…these works reflect my interest in the juxtaposition of a carefully executed design that is then subjected to the unpredictable and exciting surprises that occur in this firing process." |
