Margriet has been a glass and clay artisan for over 25 years. Working on stained glass she uses the surface as a canvas, allowing the designs to have a painterly quality. Currently the owner of the SeeView Gallery in Kincadine she devotes her time to creating and selling artwork.

Margriet Van Erp uses a single piece of textured glass to which she applies an image with overlays of lead and coloured film. The front, which faces into the home, is fully leaded. The backside is layered with the coloured film and partially leaded. The entire design is viewed equally from both sides. Each piece is framed in zinc and is ready to hang.
