Daniel Vargas has been creating functional art from molten Glass since 1958.Trained by his father in the timeless tradition of the Mexican Glass artists, he has added facets of the great European styles to his remarkable designs. He has worked in various glass studios throughout Western Canada in the past 40 years. Daniel struck out on his own, opening a full production glass studio in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, called Arte Vargas Glassblowing Studio.Daniel is creating contemporary Canadian works of art in his own unique style. These hand blown glass objects of art are exquisite examples of the glass blower’s craft, reflecting the traditions of the Italian, European and Mexican glassblowers.
